Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) Treatment Program
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a disorder that interferes with a woman’s normal ovulation and is the most common cause of infertility in women. PCOS may also cause a variety of other health problems, such as metabolic and cardiovascular diseases. At The St. Luke Hospitals, we have developed a Center of Excellence specifically to treat women with PCOS. One of the keys to managing PCOS is lowering insulin levels and maintaining a health body weight. Daily exercise for at least 30 minutes promotes weight loss and improves the body’s use of insulin; which helps to relieve many of the symptoms of PCOS.
Fitness experts from the Sports Health & Wellness Center work to assess the fitness needs of patients with PCOS and offer instruction and supervision to ensure they reach their goals. PCOS Treatment Program Members will have access to the Fitness Center during the following hours: Monday through Thursday 4 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., Friday 4 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

I like near Cincinnati so that hospital is right across the river. A local news station actually did a story on the program for the 11 o'clock news a few weeks ago. I was happy to see awareness being made. I don't need to lose weight or I would sign up. It sounds like it has been a very successful program.

Wow! I live close to both too. I hadn't heard it on the news here (Cincy news), but I don't watch it often. For all you NKY cysters, I live in FALMOUTH, yes you heard me right, I am from Pendleton Co! Don't hold it against me please LOL!
I may have to give them a call! I wonder what is covered by insurance, and what isn't. I have an RE that I absolutely love who is in Blue Ash (Cincy). I wonder if you can be a part of this and keep your RE?
If any of my Cincy cysters have called or gotten more info about this, let me know the details. I am *trying* to get a job in Covington and swinging over to St. Luke East would be easy and not out of my way coming home.
Stacie :-)

It would be a nice little haul for me to go to either location, but considering I still make the trip to Pendleton Co. to see my family doctor, it would be worth it. I haven't had much luck finding doctors in Ohio that I like. Def. something to look in to.
