Hi KGJacob,
I love the picture of Gabriel. He is so cute. I think your picture looks fine.
How old is he again? You're adopting from Guatemala right? I'm not very good at remembering where everyone is in their adoption. I have a hard enough time remembering my own timeline.
It is very nice to be able to have others that are in the process of adopting to share the good and bad times with.

Yes, Guatemala. He is about 6 weeks old now but he was about 4 weeks old at that picture.
What have you done to prepare for travel? Are you learning any Spanish?
Because he was so young at referral (birthmom left him at the hospital after giving birth with no name) , we had some difficulty getting the lab tests. We accepted the referral without HIV, Hep, etc. I panicked for weeks and then finally got a fax with all the lab work. It was all negative. We are hoping that will be our only glitch in the process. You are right about good and bad times.
And.....am I the only one going broke on ink jet ink and photo paper printing all these photos off every time we get more pictures?
You are so lucky to have a pic so early on in the process....although I know Guatelmala is a speedy process, much more so than China!
Congrats....he's simply perfect!!!

Awww He's beautiful! Congratulations again, you must be so proud
I'm not broke on ink yet, but the new multipurpose photo printer with a fax machine so I'll be able to see all those things a tiny bit faster sure did take a huge chunk out of my check book!

KGJacob,
He is so young!!! That is good. So, I take it you are going through an abandonment case then? Does that take longer than a relinquishment? I've heard it does if you don't have some sort of abandonment document or something. I'm not really familiar with abandonment, but I'm curious since we may end up going that route on our next adoption. (if we go through an orphanage)
Anyway, good luck, and I hope you have your baby very soon.
