Default Kidney/UTI probs anyone?

Hi everyone (1st post!)

Just wondered if anyone has any UTI or kidney infections and are they linked to PCOS?
Mine took 2 weeks to shift and Doctor didnt quite know how but said it could be linked to PCOS. Got appt with gynae in 2 weeks so is it worth checking it out with her then?

Thanks ladies

Take care!

I don't think there is any relation.... but I had bad kidney and UTI infections but I also passed a massive kidney stone last year. (OMG, you have no idea what pain is until you've passed a 7mm kidney stone!)

However, I had BV (bacterial vaginitis?) once and was told that the hormone imbalance caused by PCOS could trigger it the infection.

I actually have a UTI right now but dont know if it is linked to the PCOS or not. I haven't had one for almost 2-3 years and then BAM!

I used to get them ALLL the time. My doctor told me to make sure I go pee everytime after sex (that seems to have helped a lot - gets all the bacteria out of there) Also to drink lots of water and pee a lot. Also cranberry juice helps too. There is also something for urinary tract health...it's over the counter that you could try. I can't remember what it's called.

Something else to look into.

I just had a UTI last week! I used to get them ALL the time but hadn't had one for a while. I am sorry I can't answer your question about whether it is related to PCOS or not. Good question!
