Default Kind of gross...so read at your own risk....

I'm gonna be really blunt about this, but has any one ever had blood in the toilet after you poop? Last night I noticed blood, not a lot, but a lil too much for my comfort...I woke up this morning and I had blood in my underwear, in the butt part....And also I have this knot where my glands are, just on the right side, and it hurts...it hurts when I turn my neck...I'm gonna try to find a gp out here who takes my insurance..I just moved so I have to do some research, but I don't want to go through 50 tests just to find out it's normal... sorry if I made any one sick...

Depends on what colour it isand how much? If its bright red its usually indicative of Hemroids, either internal or external. It can be brought on by excess force ex. pushing etc. or ill digested food. Also if it is dark, coffee ground, or tary that can mean a more serious problem of a lower GI bleed. Both can require medical attention depending on the severity. I dont personally have this problem but see alot of it in my line or work. Im a paramedic and firefighter so nothing is gross to me anymore

i recently had this problem back when i was still doing phase 1 of south beach diet. it's never happened to me before, but i'm told it was probably an internal 'roid. it felt like i was pooing knives lol! are you getting in enough fiber in your diet?

yep, if it's bright red I'd guess that it's internal hemorrhoids. I get blood in the toilet a couple times a week

I think I had this happen to me just once. Hope everything ends up okay for you... I have other bathrrom issues like mine keep being the dark dark tar kind... not sure what causes that but I've been taking a new multivitamin and think it might be from the excess iron.

Bright red is usually a sign of hemorrhoids. I would try stool softener you can get over the counter and some cream first. If it doesn't help soon, I would go to the Dr. And this is going to sound gross, but have you "looked" down there to see if you have anything on the outside...and this is why...you could have external hemorrhoids, or I have heard of genital warts just around that "hole". It seems really weird, but it can cause bleeding with having a bowl movement too. Hemorrhoid cream won't work for them, you need a special cream to get rid of them. So maybe you could "take a look" to see what it is down there. I hope I don't seem too gross. (and for the record I do not have any kind of warts, I just know someone who had them in that spot)

My husband had this same problem last week. It was quite a bit of blood and lasted for about 3 and a half days. I took him to the ER and the doctor there said it was hemorrhoids. They took some blood tests and everything checked out ok. They recommended creams, but not inserted too far and stool softeners to keep from irritating the tissue.

Bright Red blood in your stool/toilet is from your lower GI system, one reason could be hemeroids, but it could be other (worse) things (not to scare you) dark tarry blood in your stool/toilet is from your upper GI system so it is from your stomach part, could be a ulcer or something. Hope this helps but DEFINATELY go to the doctor ASAP. Hopefully it's just a hemerroid but you definately need to make sure that is all it is (Colon cancer is one of the leading causes of death nowadays..)

Sorry to be sccary about it.. Too much medical training I guess!!
