I doubt this is caused by the PCOS, but I tought I would see if anyone else here has ever had this happen to them or know someone who has. Last week I got a terrible migrane headache. I was out sick from work for 2 days because of it. Well, Saturday morning I wake up and the entire left side of my left eye is blood red. Not just like bloodshot from lack of sleep, but I think I actaully had a blood vessel pop in there. It's now Monday and I'm getting funny looks at work because of it. I'm tempted to go out and buy an eye patch so I don't gross people out. Anyone else ever had this??? Thanks,
Rachel

When I had whooping cough, I thought my eyeballs were going to pop out of my head.
I've never heard a headache causing it.... I'd get my blood pressure checked ASAP if I were you!!!!
Here's what they looked like.... again, it was from coughing. The skin around my eyes bruised up, too.

Never been diagnosed with diabetes. I didn't have a cough or anything like that at all. Only the migrane. That picture is axactly what my left eye looks like. How long did that take to go away? I am considering going to the Dr. this afternoon about this. I have a couple of friends who say it happens to poepl all the time and it'll go away, but I've never heard of it happening on it's own like this. Thanks for all the replies about this. :-)

Please go to the doctor! I don't want to scare you but I don't think that is normal with migraines. I think you should have it checked just to be safe.

I work at a Drs office... and I had a nightmare one night and shot up and hit my headboard (had to be there) anyway, I had the same problem.. for 3 weeks I was freaky eye girl by all the little kids in my office and adults would ask "What happened?" daily.. the worse part is there is nothing you can do about it. It has to just absorb back into your body.

I'm sorry. I think you should be checked out just to be on the safe side. I've never heard of this happening with a migraine, but I wouldn't be surprised, since it can make vision screwy anyway.

At the very least, have him check your blood pressure. There are also some indicators of diabetic eye problems that can manifest like that in the eyes.
Mine were from *very* violent coughing over many weeks... which caused temporary incontinence and hemorrhoids. Trust me.... go to the Doc.

I once had blood vessels pop in my eye, it was from wearing goggles while swimming, the goggles said not to wear them when diving but I ignored it. I went to the doctor and was told it would clear up on its own, but just to be safe I would still go and see a doctor.
