Question Knot in stomach

I posted the other day about how ive been feeling sick to my stomach alot lately. For about 2 months now when I lean up against the kitchen counter while im cooking or something like that, my stomach is really sore in one certain area. Its right in the middle of my stomach & to the left just a little bit. Anyway last night while in the shower it was more "tender" than it normally is. I was rubbing my hand over the area to see how big an area I was dealing with & I felt a hard knot under the skin. In the exact same area that hurts. When I got out of the shower I had my husband to feel of it & he said he coudnt feel anything. But every time I touch it, I feel it. Does anyone know what this could be?

---BUMP---

I hope someone can help you with this one. I know that women can have cysts or even masses that are not harmful but might need to be removed. I think a trip to the doc might be in order. They might be able to use a ultrascan to see what's there.

I know exactly what you are talking about ............ I have them in my stomach and they are little cysts just I guess calcium build up or something. My dad has them and so did my mother I have one inperticular that hurts as well and certain ways I hit or touch it I could cry. But it has never gotten bigger and never really caused me problems. For the most part I forget that it is there till I hit or bump it wrong then I will pay attention for a couple of days and then once again I forget LOL :-)

Thank you for the responses. I dont feel as bad about it now. It really freaked me out last night though when I found it. I felt so stupid telling my husband about it because im always finding something else wrong with me. Im afraid he is going to think im faking stuff when im not. Then when he felt & said he coudnt feel the knot, I really felt bad. I see my doctor Nov 14th. Im going to have him do some test to see if I have any cysts. Thats really been worrying me alot because of stomach pains that I get pretty often. The lower left side of my stomach & lately they have been in entire lower stomach. Anyway thanks so much for the answers to my questions. I feel better now. :0)

You should probably make sure what you have. I don't think this is anything to mess with, expecially if lumps grow or change, or cause other symptoms. I asked on here before if any one else had painful lumps and no one had anything similar to what I have. Lipomas or angiolipomas are often confused with cysts and they can run in families. I'm really having a very difficult time with mine. The condition has worsened tremendously over the last year. There are a few common benign conditions with lipomas, and a few rare and debilitating ones. Take care of yourselves.

P.S. Lipomas rarely show up on scans such as MRI, CTscan, or ultrasound. They think this is because the lump is so similar to the surrounding tissue.

It could be kidney stones or gall stones or even appendicitis, depending on the location, so I would recommend going to a good doctor and probably getting an ultrasound.
