Default lack of appetite?

For about the last 15 yrs or so, i have been eating roughly one meal a day ( i say roughly, because when DH met me, i was eating about once ever 2 or three days, and he threw an absolute fit, and now i eat one meal a day every day)

i know that isn't the healthiest way to be, and my RE really wants me to eat more, and more often, but i just have no hunger... i have tried to eat more often, and i usually just end up sick to my stomach, or throw up.

the only real exception to this is if i eat something carb-heavy, then i am hungry all the time, all day long, until i go to sleep, but the next day, it starts again, no hunger, at all.
And taking fortamet hasn't helped.... if i am starting to get hungry before i take the meds, and don't eat until afterward, i lose the hunger, and if i eat before i take the meds, i get nausea, and end up throwing up.
This really has me bugged, since my RE tells me if i would eat more often, it would improve my metabolism, and i would lose weight more quickly.

I go back to my RE on Oct 5th, and i am going to mention it to him ( if i remember lol). i am fairly newly dx'd with pcos, i was on met for 2 months, but my body wasn't absorbing it at all, and so i was switched to fortamet, which i am absorbing quite well. i am in my second month on fortamet. i take 1000mg twice a day. my main side effects seem to be "the runs" and nausea.
Help me Cysters!!
