Hello

I was just wondering if anyone had the problem with a lack of sex drive when they went on BCP?

Ive noticed since starting yasmin i have slowly lost my sex drive, everything is good with my BF and i love him and we hug and kiss a lot. But for some reason the rest isnt working, i dont even get turned on by other men who are encridibly hot, i dont even notice anyone anymore.
Its very odd to me and the first time its ever happened.

has anyone gone through this? or have any suggestions?

I'm not on BCPs yet, but I've heard that this is very common. Tyra Banks even mentioned in on her show. The dr. on the Tyra Show said that it was a normal side effect. I don't have any personal suggestions, but I just wanted to let you know that it's normal.

Yes, unfortunately lack of sex drive can be a side effect of taking BCPs.

Eww, that's a depressing thought. but on a comical note, it is birth control and making the desire for sex drop would kind of be on that path.....

I'm not currently taking any meds so do not have any personal experience to give you since it's been YEARS since I took any bcp, but I have also heard others I know state this side effect.
