Question Lactation. (TMI)

Before I knew I was PCOS, I went and got on depo-provera. I bled for 3 months straight so I didn't take the second shot. After that three months, I started lactating ( I have never been pregnant). Not just little amounts either. When I got out of the shower and would tie the towel around me, I would get the towel all wet. I still give a little. Has anyone else had this problem or am I just a wierdo?

I was put on Metformin last week and have already lost 4lbs!

Try 6 years lactating-- no pregs either. They don't know why but as long as it isn't just one then you should be ok. Anytime only one is leaking there is a pondering of breast cancer. And if you're a wierdo you certainly aren't alone. Congrats on your weight loss though.

Hey there,
Have you had your prolactin tested? If not you need to, because sometimes it can a sign of something else called a pituitary tumor which causes PCOS like symptoms(I had one, and I was lactating and my prolactin was elevated.) I am not trying to cause you alarm, because it could be the pill itself, but you need to rule it out b/c you should not be lactating if you are not pregnant! Make an appoinment with a Endocrinologist if you haven't seen one right away because it might take a while to get it!
