My Mood: Points: 62,764.72 Bank: 46,592,070.62 Total Points: 46,654,835.34 | Lactic acidosis and galbladder woes I have been reading about symptoms of lactic acidosis, and have found that they aren't so different from symptoms of galbladder troubles. I have in the past experienced, and am now experiencing, slight nausea, and various gastro intestinal distress, plus tenderness around my liver. Those are lactic acidosis symptoms, and galbladder symptoms.
I am going to see the RE on the 13th anyway, and I have bloodwork on Friday, though I don't know if he's got a liver enzyme test scheduled. I am going to lay off the fatty foods and see what happens. That should be okay, right? No need to be more concerned???

Is there any way you can call your Dr and let him know the symptoms you are having? I worry about the liver tenderness, especially with your history and the fact that no liver/kidney labs were ordered.
Be safe and talk to your Dr, ok? I'm not a hypochondriac, but I don't want you to disregard this if it could turn into something dangerous. None of us can promise you'll be ok but your Dr, and I'd rather you get it checked to be on the safe side.
Good luck and let us know how you're doing, ok?

I only think he may not have order a liver enzyme lab. I don't know. My bloodwork sheet has the following....
FSH
Estradiol
LH
DHEAS
Androsterdione (sp?)
Free testosterone
TSH
BHCG
Hg AIG
Fasting LDL
HDL
Plasma Insulin
17 Hydroxprogesterone

Can you call his office, and explain your distance situation and tell him about your symptoms to see if he feels it can wait until the 13th? I don't know how fast LA can get out of hand and he would have a better handle on that. At least if the choice is his to see you now or wait, he is responsible should this turn out to be serious. At the very least he might add those liver enzymes to your bloodwork this week.
The fact that you were asking if you should be concerned in your first post, indicates that you're aware that this has potential to be serious. Follow your instincts, sweetie. I just don't want to tell you that everything is ok, and have it not be so.
Take Care.
