Question Lactose Intolerance from Glucaphage?

Has anyone else suffered from a lactose intolerance while on Glucaphage? I tried taking glucaphage several years ago and went off of it after 12 weeks of constant trips to the bathroom (TMI - I know). I also noticed that I suddenly developed an intolerance to lactose, especially ice cream (maybe the drug was trying to tell me to stay away from ice cream anyway LOL). I have recently started back on glucaphage XR. I'm taking 2000mg daily and not suffering as much from the side effects, but had ice cream and a glass of milk yesterday evening. Within 30 minutes of the ice cream (a small amount too), I was sent running to the bathroom. I have not previously had any ill effects from dairy products in the past. Just wondering if Glucaphage has had this effect on anyone else.
