First and foremost I am soo sorry to hear about your loss. The pain is indescribable. The biggest reason that I can think of for PCOS women to m/c is Progesterone. So, when you do decide to try again, be sure to have them check your levels. They also say if you are on Metformin and become pregnant to stay on it because it reduces the risk of m/c for a PCOS woman to that of a regular woman. Really, thats all you can do.. The rest is in someone elses hands. Please take it easy and come to us if you need a shoulder.
So sorry for your loss. Once you have had a m/c, getting PG again and the fear of another loss can be very hard. I still cry when I start thinking of the babies that I lost.
I personally believe think that my m/c was caused by yeast/candida overgrowth.
I had gotten PG a few months after taking 1 diflucan pill, which killed all the yeast in my body. At the time I didn't realize that it was killing yeast with the diflucan that had helped me to get PG. So I didn't realize that I need to do anything to keep the yeast away, and I didn't take anything else to keep the yeast from getting out of control again.....I never had any obvious yeast symptoms.
I think that the yeast came back, and got out of control and messed up my hormones, which stopped the pregnancy at 9 weeks.
The next time I TTC, I used other things that kill yeast, and again got PG a few months after I started the yeast control methods. This time, I kept doing yeast control through my pregnancy, and just to be sure that I didn't have another m/c, I also started met, and took progesterone through week 13. I don't know if I really needed the met, and progesterone, but I was so afraid of another m/c that I wanted to do everything possible to prevent another loss.
I wish you many blessings, and I hope that when you are ready to start trying again, that you will have great success, and a beautiful healthy baby.

Thank you ladies My progestrone was actually low at 11 and they put me on progestrone supplements but I also did develop a yeast infection right b4 my misscariage and i didn't know that it could effect the pregnancy..I am sooo hurt inside that i don't know how to cope with it... I sit infront of the tv watching bringing home baby and a baby story I really looked foward to having those tiny fingers wrapped around one of mine.. I was actually getting excited about going threw labor and holding my precious little baby... I am so scared to try again just because whenu go threw something like this it is wayyyy overwhelming I know we were not even trying I had lost some weight and we went on vacation then all of the sudden wham... I was happy about not having to try and worry about if we could do it or not cause know I know we can ... Now to have to go threw the trying process ..... I don't know it is just draining and yet mu hubby says to me we are going to have lots of babies... He is such a awesome man and I am lucky to have him... I gained some of my weight back so I am going to get on glucophage and lose the weight again and see where that gets me.. well ladies thanks so much for the replies..
Nicole

Low progesterone is definitely a common problem among the early losses. I'm sure that there is a delicate balance of hormones that just isn't going right with us cysters during some pregnancies. But there are many success stories here with pregnancies following losses, so I hope you will read through lots of threads and find out how things might go in the future. Each of us is individual, but we do share a lot! I hope that you will look back at this time as the very worst and that your DH is right about having the family of your dreams.
But take this time to rest and reflect. I like the idea of focusing on your health right now (that also helped me conceive!). You have been through a lot and need some mental rest. I hope you find some strength to try again when you are ready.
Many hugs!

I am so sorry for your loss. With my m/c, I had all the testing done - labs, chromosomal testing of the baby - was on progesterone & close monitoring .... everything was normal. Sometimes, you just never have a reason....

I am so sorry for your loss. I, too, have felt your pain. My progesterone was actually very good with my last pregnancy. The OB thinks I m/c b/c I ovulated very late in the cycle and maybe the egg was just "old" (in her words). Sometimes there is no reason, it just happens. It's very unfair.
miscarriages happen for all kinds ofreasons...low progesterone only being one reason. all of my numbers were really good and in normal range for each of my 3 miscarriages...betas rose like they were supposed to, etc.
i'm very sorry for your loss, but there's no reason that you can't conceive and carry full term.
I feel sorry for your loss. I too am trying to conceive my first. I cant tell you of any reason why miscarriages happen. But I too watch a baby story and taking home baby and hoping the same as you. I cant even begin to imagine how difficult it must be for you. But I am always here for you.
Take care.

I too have MTHFR blood clotting disorder...with this pregnancy I was put on blood-thinner injections that I inject in my belly twice a day..( I was also on progesterone suppositories 'till week 12)Dr's don't usually test for this disorder until a woman has suffered 2,3,4 miscarriages ( so sad)..but maybe you can get tested in advance and avoid another heartbreaking loss...
so truly sorry for your loss...

I'm so sorry for your loss. My 7.5 wk m/c was caused by low progesterone (was only 5 at my 7dpo bloodwork and they did not start me on any support for it until it was too late). I think that low progesterone is a problem for a lot of pcos women. With my successfull pg, being on progesterone suppositories helped tons.
Minnesota,,, My Period was on November 4 and I didn't ovulate untill 28 days later so that could be very well what happend in my case.. I think if I were to take clomid then maybe that would help that old egg thing. My progestrone was low and my hcg levels barely went up.. in 9 days my beta went from 475 to 850.. so I think there was more something wrong with the embryo then my horomones. I am going to lose some weight first then do the glucophage and maybe in september we will try again this time we won't tell anyone till the second trimester... thank u soo much for the support you girls are great.
