ok well last night i did my first pack and really didnt feel anything but tonight as im doing it i hear gurrgling and feel some twings in my left ovary also i thought i would give a little fyi i got a theraputic hot/cold pack at walmart it was a little over 10 dollars you heat it in the microwave for 1 min and it gives you 30-60 min of really good heat and then 1-2 hours of comfy heat just an idea if you have a tendency to fall asleep with your heating pad. or you your just doing a quick session.

Ok, so I have a few questions that I really need answered. I'm going to get all my herbs and castor oil packs and total body cleanse tomorrow (have to wait for dh to get paid) and I want to make sure I do all of this right.

#1 - is it totally safe for me to do the whole body cleanse at the same time as the castor oil packs? I know the castor oil packs clean you out as well as absorb the cysts, so I just want to make sure I can do them together safely. I don't have anyone around here I can call or go to and ask.

#2 - when I do the whole body cleanse, can I take my herbs at that time or should I wait until the cleanse is done? The cleanse takes 2 weeks, and I want to give the herbs enough time to really get in my system and work, but I'm wondering if the cleanse will just get rid of them before my body can absorb them, thus defeating the whole purpose.

#3 - Can I take my prescription bp med while I'm doing the cleanse and taking the herbs? I take Lisinopril, and I'm concerned about taking it at the same time as everything else, but when I tried to ask my dr she had no idea. I know there is an herbal supplement for bp, and I'm wondering if I should switch to that. What do you think?

The cleanse I was referring to is just called a "total body cleanse for first time cleansers". Its sold at my local health food store and I'm told it's their best seller. When I said i wanted to know if the castor oil packs are safe to do during the cleanse, I just meant that I wanted to make sure nothing more serious than diahrea would happen (or at least has been known to happen) if I'm doing them both together. The rush is that I want to be able to get back to TTC, but I need to get rid of the cysts before I can. Also, I really want to do the cleanse so that the herbs I take are hitting a clean, toxin free system. The herbs I'm taking are in my siggy. I'm ok with not switching the bp stuff, but I hope I can take the bp meds with the herbs and stuff. Thanks for the reply.

You're very welcome. So you haven't yet started taking the herbs in your signature? Have you taken them before? Do you know what dosage works for you? Effective dosage of herbs varies greatly from individual to individual just as drugs do.

So I'm guessing this cleanse is some herbs to help your liver and probably some fibre and a laxative? along with instructions to ease up on meat and processed foods for a couple of weeks? It's so hard to know what to tell you without knowing you and what is in this cleanse. it sounds fairly mild and innocuous, from your description, but who knows. Nothing terrible will happen by adding castor oil packs into a regime, but I would still recommend starting off with the CO pack for one cycle (4 days on, 3 off) as that seems to be when it will have the strongest and most noticeable effect on you. Then depending on how you feel on them, add in the cleanse. mizzstee had an ultrasound before and after she started the CO regime and has a lot fewer cysts than she had to begin with, but she's been doing it since late January.

Please note that you should not use Dong Quai in conjunction with Lisinopril.

Your health needs sound fairly complex, especially taking into consideration your desire to TTC in as short an interval as possible. I would strongly recommend that you consult with a naturopath, even if you can only manage a phone consultation. www.ovarian-cysts-pcos.com is run by a naturopathic physician in Montana who may be able to provide you with some guidance. I don't know enough about Nancy Dunne to recommend her, but she is one of the few practitioners of any modality who specialise in PCOS, so it's probably a reasonable place to start.

Thanks!! I think I will do the castor oil packs for 4 days and then add in the cleanse. I'm going to start the packs today. I'm excited!! Thank you for that link. I'm going to look into that today, as well. As far as the herbs, I've tried to do as much research as I can both online, on here, and with my local nature food store. No one has said anything about the Dong Quai until now, but I'll gladly take it out of the mix if it'll react badly with the Lisinopril. I plan to start the herbs after the cleanse is completed. Thanks again for everything. I really appreciate it!!

WOW. I just looked at the site. I don't think I can swing $160 for a phone consultation. Hmmm...I'll have to see if there is a cheaper one somewhere else.
