I'm not using c/o for that, just trying to clear everything out in hopes of getting meds to work and get pg. I got my castor oil from my local health food shop. It was like $6 for a 4oz bottle. The brand I have is The Palma Christi Castor Oil. You'll want to look for pure, cold pressed oil. hth

Thank you My husband picked some up for me... how am I supposed to be applying this? What I was told through another site was to apply to my skin or a cloth and then place that between my skin and a heating pad.

Anyone??

I have cramping when using the castor oil but not as strong as you are describing. How long are you keeping the pack on for? I've heard of others having cramping and it means that it's working. I see in your siggy you are on cd1 today, maybe it was af getting ready to start. Wishing you all the best this cycle.

Its so funny. I started the castor oil packs in May and 10 days after I started them, I got af. This month I got af after 31 days, as opposed to the 40 or 45 days as usual. Pretty much every single time I do the packs I get cramping and twinges. Its been that way since about a week after af ended last month. Like all of a sudden something was going on in there. I do the packs for 1 hour 4 days on/3 days off. Seems to really be doing the trick. I didnt expect to get these kind of results so fast. My af never gives me the same cycle length, sometimes I skip a month or 2, it's usually a mess. But since the castor oil packs, things are really changing. Like when I was on bcp, but without the side effects.

Oh my, I did NOT know you can use castor oil to get rid of cysts, I would have BEEN doing it. Thank God for this site, I will be picking me up some next pay period! Hopefully it will rid these cysts so they can operate again!

So, the regular castor oil at Wal-mart wouldn't work? Is there a special kind that works better?

Hi again Kim!! Are you stalking me...LOL J/K You can get any brand, but you want to make sure that it is cold pressed and cold processed. Thats VERY important. I get mine at my local health store. I got a 32 fl oz bottle for $14. I got the wool flannel cloth for $6. You can use the cloth for up to 6-8 weeks before you discard it. I got the $2 heat/cool pack from WalMart and basic cling wrap from there as well. All in all about a $24 investment, and since I've seen great results really quick, I'd say WELL worth it. HTH!!!

My2, I'm so glad you are seeing such great results with the c/o packs! I've never been consistant enough with them to see any real results. But I do get the cramps and twinges (mostly twinges though) when I do use them.

Thanks!! I work out 4 days a week, so I just do the CO packs on the days I work out. Makes it easier to remember. I'm so shocked that they really do work so well. I'll never stop doing them now...lol Like I said, same benefits as bcp without the harsh side effects. Gotta love it!!

Ladies, I have a question.

Is it ok to do the castor oil packs while pg? I ask this bc dh and I are ttc and I won't be testing until the day after af is due. I cant handle bfn's. Anyway, if I do get pg then obviously I'll be doing the treatments while in the very early stages of the pg until I test. Is this ok? I know the packs encourage af flow, and I dont want to run the risk of causing a m/c by doing the packs while pg. Does anyone know?? Thanks!!

my2, Everything I've read says not to use them in pregnancy. I would just stop using them after you've ovulated. Will you be charting your bbt or using opk's?

Well after more 'drama' in the ttc department I am on a break while we figure stuff out. Sooo, I will be adding castor oil packs as part of my regime. I'm going back to my acupuncturist and I'm waiting for my appt with a new endo and on the 13th I have an appt with my RE. Apparently I have high E2 that drops when stimming with injectables. Very strange but it definitely means something is wrong! I'm getting my thyroid checked, I'm checking my glucose and insulin while fasting and will be getting an u/s to check my antral follicle count. Also going to continue doing my best to make healthy food choices and make more effort at exercising for at least 30 minutes a day. I hope I will get as good results with c/o as my2 has!

I cant use OPK's bc they always show me as Oing, no matter when I use them. Charting never works for me bc I always forget to temp...lol Sometimes it's hard for me to tell if/when I O, and other times it's very obvious. Hopefully this month will be obvious so I know when to stop using the packs.

I hope you can get everything figured out. I also hope the castor oil packs work as well for you as they do for me. I was shocked at how well they worked and how fast they started working. But you have to really be religious with it. I do 30-45 minutes for 4 days, then 3 days off, etc... Seems to really do the trick. Good luck to you!!!

I did the c/o pack yesterday for almost an hour and was feeling cramping off and on all night long. I sooo hope it's going to work!! I'm going to try and do it every day this week and see how it goes. I was reading somewhere that the c/o packs work the same as acupuncture in that it increases blood flow to the uterus. I have an acu appt on Friday so I'm hoping between the two I will help bring on af and help regulate my cycles.
