Default Ladies.....Help Please !!!!!!

Hello Ladies

I need some advice !!

I've always suffered from Acne since i was a teenager but the last 6 months or so it's got so much worse (well, that said, all my symptoms have!!)

I've now got the usual Acne spots but on top of that, i have have these awful big spots along my jaw line. They're like big lumps under the skin, nothing much seems to come out of them either.

I'm also finding that the normal spots seem to be much bigger now.

Please help ladies. I would love to be able to hide in the house but have to go to work everyday!!! I also can't hide them with make-up (they're too big!) Make-up just temporarally tones down the redness.

Any help would be brilliant.

Many Thanks

Katherine

welcome to the joys of cystic acne! that usually means it's time for antibiotics to make an appearance... you should see your dermatologist before they scar too badly.

Hi Katherine-
Proactiv products worked wonders for me. I previously tried tetracycline, topical arythromicin, retin a, shots, accutane, PanOxyl 10% soap...you name it but nothing really helped. I would still get pretty serious breakouts every month. Now I am on Yasmin and Spiro which I know has helped but I know it was the Proactiv that pushed me over the edge in a positive way. It was only about a month after using it that I noticed a decided difference in my skin. Now I rarely break out at all. If you haven't ever seen a dermatologist I do still recommend you try to find a good one. I remember that when I was seeing my dermatologist he gave me shots in the face (I believe it was cortisone shots but this was over ten years ago now) and the lumps disappeared almost immediately. That might be a good quick fix for you while you find a skin regimine that works for you.

Best of Luck to you!

Heather
