Unhappy Ladies! I need your Help!

I am still soooooooooooooo tired! My levels look great! I just had them done 2weeks ago...So, I cannot figure out why I am still battling this fatigue! My Endo did Up my Syntroid from 50 too 75Mcg, too see if this will help with Faitgue, so far it is not working. I am still DOG TIRED!

When I first started Syntroid at 50mcg, I was feeling great, the fatigue was gone, the hair loss slowed down considerably, and alot of the other issues I had were like 95% better.. after 2.5 month on 50mcg, I felt like I was crashing, the only issue this time is fatigue! I am back too yawning a million times a day, and wanting too sleep 24/7...
This is killing me.....I hate feeling so darn tied all the time!

I was wondering ( Just too re fresh your memory ) I have Hashimoto... Could this tiredness be something else completely, and not related too thyroid at all? All I know is almost 2 yrs ago, I was FINE! Then I had my son, and his birth was very EVENTFUL.. Failed 21 hr labor, C-section was needed, then needed an transfusion due too bleeding out...Now I feel like I am falling APART! Maybe I got some tainted blood?... Not likely, but what is wrong with me!
I have this burning tingling in my elbows and wrist now! Never ever had this, I have allergies now, never had allergies before in my Life! Ok I think it is allergies.. My eyes are itching and watering all the time, nose id ripping like a faucet! I'm just so frustrated, and feel hopeless with my Health!

Could this be more then Thyroid issue? I had a CBC done, I am not Anemic or so it says!

Could it be the Synthroid itself causing my tiredness? I thought I read that hairloss and fatigue could be side effects.. Not sure though.. Does anyone have any thoughts on how too function like this?

here are most recent labs ( like I said above ) they were done 2 week ago...Anythought on my ailing self *lol*...?? I'm falling apart......

Hi there ...
You MAY want to look into getting your Iodine levels checked ... there are some valid studies that suggest 50% of today's population are Iodine deficient as compared to the levels of 50+ years ago when it was commonplace to prescribe K+Iodine. See the following article:

Most importantly: GO BY YOUR GUT FEELINGS!!

Kristen,
I know this may seem to simple but I have been feeling exactly like you are describing. I am getting my thyroid meds upped every time I get tested. Is this stuff working??
I also take Metformin and I heard that it depletes your B vitamins!! The B vitamin is for energy, mood swings, depression, etc!! I started on it yesterday again and I feel better already. Don't take it to close to bedtime or you will be awake at night.
Try to take a super b complex (Wal Mart) and you will feel some more energy within a day I bet.
I hope it works for you. This can all be so frustrating.
Hugs,
Robin

hi - hope the armour makes you feel better!

one of the problems with synthroid (and maybe with all thyroid supplements??) is that it takes a while to get the precise dose titered just right. since you're adding synthetic thyroid hormone to your body, your thyroid could respond by producing less (your body's feedback loop is telling the thyroid gland that there's enough hormone in your body, so the thyroid gland doesn't have to work so hard). so your overall hormone levels could drop. then you have to have your dosage upped. and then your body compensates again. it's a bit of give and take until they get you to a stable level.

i understand that armour is a LOT better for some people, but no one has explained to me precisely why.

hth,

ann
