Default Ladies Losing Large (100+ lbs) May 2008

Wow Ladies, MAY is here!

OK Ladies, it's the time crunch to summer clothing season!! I'm not going to say lets get in swimsuit condition (ya...I'm NEVER going to be comfortable in a swimsuit I don't think), but lets get to where we're comfortable wearing less. No more hiding in sweaters!!

Here's the link to April 2008:

Crazy you are doing great!
Mel Sounds like you have a ton going on

I'm in sunny Orlando. I'm sitting in my hotel room totally wiped out. These business trips kill me with the off hours of working all day/night. Worked the trade show booth until 10PM last night, then we had a team dinner and after that I had to go to an event a client was hosting and got in at 2am this morning and had to do some work. Now I'm about to sit in a general session from 9-12-30 and teach 2 sessions but I'm going to get an hour in before dinner tonight. I have another long night until 12am min today and tomorrow with early start times. One good thing is I only had 1 cocktail they entire night and didn't finish that I just nursed a drink or a class of sparkling water most of the night at the functions. Which is HUGE for me since cocktails can ruin my diet since a large part of my job is at dinners/cocktails etc with clients.

We showed our house last night - before all projects were done/clutter or any cleaning at all...

They're submitting an offer today (we hadn't even decided on an asking price yet last night) - waiting on the phone call...

I'm just in shock. Could this move really go this smoothly?

BTW, thanks to every known human emotion (and probably a few unknown ones) running through me from all that - I ate and ate and ate some more.

Didn't help that the scale showed me up 3lbs, which I expected a gain, but not a 3lb gain.

So that week is over, today is the start of a new 'week' (my ww weeks run Tuesday-Monday) and I'm going to break into 199.9 Monday! For my own sanity I NEED to break into 199.9 Monday.

Fula, you astound me. I used to think I would love a job where I traveled alot but then I read your tales and think, "OMG, I could not survive that!" Applause, applause for you!

Mel, I am glad it is going well for you. Sometimes a move can go smoothly. After all the craziness in your life the last few months, you deserve an easy go of it. I am so excited for you.

I'm hanging there. Drank waaaay to much over the weekend so I decided to start exercising some control over myself. Obviously something is on my mind that I don't want to deal with. My therapist and I are going to start pushing me to figure it out. Food wise I have been doing OK for one reason only - the drinking messed up my stomach so I am kinda nauseaus all the time and don't really want to eat much. Yesterday I only ended up with 10 pts because bananas were pretty much the only thing that didn't make me want to be sick.

Today I am working on getting water in. I am usually dehydrated anyway because I never drink anything other than my coffee in the morning but with all that booze, it has to be worse.

Crazy, that dehydration thing is probably why your stomach was messed up after drinking! I know I HAVE to chug about 40oz of water after a night like that if I don't want to pay for it bigtime the next day!

I hope you're feeling better soon!! Hopefully your therapist will help you figure out what's going that you're trying to muffle with food. Wishing you great luck with that rough road!!!

As for me, been struggeling a bit today. The stress of waiting on the phone call (yes, still waiting), and everything else going on (work/eddie's at a new sitter today/stuff to do at home on my mind etc) - I've been wanting to indulge in my old habits of very high calorie/carb eating. So far I've hung in there - dispite this unsatisfied HUNGER (I think AF has to be around the corner). Going into tonight with about 1/2 my alloted pts for the day still...so lets just pray I can keep it together. Thankfully we're planning to sort through every room in the basement tonight/throw things in the garage for a moving sale this Saturday. So I'll be the furthest away from the kitchen I can be and still be in my house - and my hands will be busy...so I SHOULD be able to pull this day off.

Hoping the rest of you gals are having a great Tuesday!!!

One of the things I have noticed from this weight loss is that I am getting AF more often. For about six months it was regular, then I skipped a month, but it is back with a vengance. I could barely get out of bed this morning, and lucky me, I don't have any pain killers in the house so I have to wait at least an hour (until I get to work) get some.

I hope I can handle my AF cravings etc. this week.

Mel - WOW sounds like you have a ton going on at once
Crazy - sounds like a good plan of action you and your theipist have.

Most people think traveling for work is such fun they forget its still work and you still have to do your day to day work as well. I remember when I was younger I thought it would be so cool to live and work at a hotel until I did it and that was a University run hotel and you were always on the clock

Makb, hope you're starting to feel better!

Jess, I'm in the same boat - we're going to get back on track, promise!!!

Crazy, Before losing some weight, I never noticed the awful AF cravings...but since I have lost weight/am watching what I'm eating - I'm hit with them with a vengence! AND the cramps, OMG the CRAMPS. NOT fair!

Fula, now that you put it like that...I think living/working in a hotel would SUCK.

Madeleine, hang in there - get through your exams and then focus on taking care of yourself! I so know what you mean about it adding more stress!

As for me, did GREAT until 9pm last night, then BLEW it. (at least 10pts of chocolate and an ice cream sandwich - full fat)

I am trying to enter this day with new resolve. If I can stick to my daily target (not eat my normal 5 flex a day) and any activity pts I earn, I should be able to pull this week off as still 'on program'. I'm going to need all the help I can get though!

today was not a good day foodwise. Went to Universial studios with my boss and his wife during the day. Then we went to a special screening of Iron Man at Universial then from there we went to Islands of adventure since it was a private corporate event and I just got back to my hotel room. I feel vaguely sick since I had all types of crap today (a lot of soda and popcorn). I did resist the funnel cake (I really wanted that) and shared my ice cream cone with a friend and stuck to a beef kabob, and chicken to nosh on

Hi all - I'm not sure if this is a closed group. If not, I'd love to join you all. I've got 100+ to lose as well. I'm 27, was diagnosed at 19... have done my best job to ignore PCOS, but weirdly, it didn't respond to that.
I'm seriously committed to losing weight now. I'm not following any of your programs - I'm calorie counting, and journalling, and watching every little thing I put in my mouth and then adding it to my spreadsheet - I'm a nerd.

My SW (on 4/20/08) was 264. I'm currently at 251. My eventual end goal is somewhere around 130-140, but the next hallmark I'm looking for is 244 (20lbs) - hopefully by 5/20, then 238 (10% body weight loss), then 220-224 for July 5 (brother's wedding).
