I have a question. This might sound silly but does having your period mean that you are ovulating?

Nope, I am proof of that. I have my period every 28 days but I don't ovulate. I don't really understand it to be honest because the way the cycle goes in essence you would have to ovulate to have a period but my doc says alot of the time all the hormones do their thing but the egg just doesn't pop (hence the "string of pearls"). This cycle I took clomid and it actaully made me not have my "normal" cycle go figure..... GL

No, definitely not. I've been charting my temps for months now and can see that whilst I'm having periods, there is def no ovulation
