Im only having the lap done for the to see what is wrong inside and if there is anythign they can remove she will but my doc says i will be off work for a min of 2 weeks. Has anyone been off work for this long because of a lap? why would i need off this long ?

I was actually only off for two days, but I had it done on a thursday and had the time to take off. I also work from a home office and work from my laptop and connect remotely to work so I do not have to move around much. I did however move around after the third day, even though it was a full week or a little more before I could get around like before the lap. But I cannot see why, depending on your job, why you would be out for two weeks. Of course, it depends on what your job entails I guess.

It would depend on what type of job you have. I worked in an office both times I had this done. The first time I was also going to school full time. I too had it done on a Thursday and used the weekend to recover. I was back to school/work that next Monday. That one she just looked around. The hardest part was walking. I used a pillow and seemed to do good with that. I'd say after about a week I was pretty much feeling better.

The 2nd one was a little different. Not only did she (different doc this time) go in and move everything around to look, but she drained fluid from previous cysts, got rid of the cysts that were present. She also made her own decision to do ovarian drilling while there! That time it took a bit longer to recoup. Again, I had it done on a Thursday and though I'd use the weekend to recover. I ended up using the entire next week off work. It was still hard after I went back.

So I think it really makes a difference on what they do while in there. If I had a choice, I would not have chosen to have the ovarian drilling. I wasn't ttc, and it really didn't help from the cysts returning. I no longer have that doctor btw. Hope things go well for you!

Can't wait to start WW again and loose the other 15lbs I gained with the last pregnancy and the 30lbs I still needed to lose with the first one.
