Default Lapband in December & now a BFP!!!

hello ladies,
I have posted my story on here before so I will not bore you will all my details, but I wanted to encourage each one of you that is TTC. My husband & I had to do to fertility to get pregnant with my DD who is now almost 3. We wanted another one badly but I was so unhealthy and wanted to work on myself. Its so hard because you want another child but you also want to be able to get yourself on track. We decide that I would do lapband & I did so on 12/11/08.
Lapband does involve alot on a persons part & I put my best foot forward. I changed my eatting habits & started to exercise. By April I had lost 50 lbs. However, from April till now I had only lost an addtional 10 lbs. I slowly got off track with craziness of summer & though I didnt gain my weightloss really slowed down. However, June & July I had regular cycles. We decided in August to use OPK's just to see if I was O'ing which is something I had not done in the past. Shoot, I had never been normal at all. Well, my cycle started on 8-5 & I O'd on 8-18. And now, I sit in front of you pregnant as anything. I feel great that I am entering the pregnancy at 180 and hopefully with my eatting habits better I will not be insulin dependent with GD this pregnancy but only time will tell.

I guess I just wanted to give hope you ladies out there that have just had or are looking into WLS that with the weightloss your life will change in so many ways & this is one of them. You do have a chance of getting pregnant & having that little angel that you have been dreaming up.

So, dont loose sight of your dreams & look forward to the weightloss journey ahead of you.

BTW- i am also excited that I will be able to find maternity clothes this time. Last time I was a 2x and it was nearly impossible not to mention the fact that boopy pillows would NEVER even remotely go around me.
