I just started mine and they say it will take about 6 sessions with 6-8 weeks in btwn so you are looking about a year. Mine cost several thousand dollars.

I know the feeling of not wanting to wait.

hugs

My friend as long as I know the costs of laser hair removal vary by region. The US average price for laser treatments is $229.00 according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Where the cost of hair removal in Midwest is approximately $450, there in east region the cost is approx $320.00. and it is pain less process.

I've been getting laser hair removal on various parts of my body for the last 3 years. I've been in college during that time so I've had it done all over the country. The prices vary, but so do the machines. If you find a cheap place, check their credentials and what kind of machine they use. It doesnt work nearly as well for women with PCOS as it does for other women, but it does help A LOT. and I plan to continue doing it, even though it does cost a lot of money. It will only help with dark hair on light skin and it takes many more treatments on the face than it does other areas. It is however, PAINFUL. really really PAINFUL. I've had it done everywhere. 4 states, like 5 different laser centers and its hurt at every one of them. However, I think its worth it, and if you find a nice place, they will provide you with numbing cream which seriously takes the edge off.
hope that helps

Cost depends on where you are and what sort of machine is in use. The effectiveness varies according to how treatable your hair growth is. If your hormones are in the normal female range and your hair growth is very dark and very fine and your skin very light, there's a good chance that you could, for example, get rid of your moustache permanently for a few hundred dollars. If, on the other hand, your testosterone level is in the male range and your hair growth is coarse you could spend thousands of dollars over years and years and still find that you have a moustache at the end of it all. And that's just one small (albeit very persistent) area of hair growth. Basically, the first thing to do is to get your hormones into the female range.

I live in Kansas City, and it costs me $275 a treatment. This is a discounted price (almost 50% off what they originally quoted me) That is for upper and lower lip, jaw line, sidburns, chin, and throat. I go to a board certified dermatologist, one that I believe is one of the best in the city and came highly recommended. I think that when it comes to your skin, you have to be EXTREMELY careful about who you choose to do this procedure. If they do not know what they are doing, they can scar and/or burn your skin. Since I am having it done on my face, I would prefer not to have scars or walk around with burns. I think that you should not be tempted by a low price, because you will get what you pay for.

As for how long it takes, they have me on a schedule of every 3 weeks, to catch hairs in each growth cycle, and said I would need probably a minimum of 4 treatments, but probably 6, because of how the hair grows on the face.

It does hurt, there is some heat from the lazer, as well as a "zapping" sensation when the lazer hits some hairs. I had my first treatment done without the numbing cream and the second with. I highly recommend that numbing cream, it TOTALLY took the edge off and she was able to finish so much faster.
