Question Laser Hair Removal

Hi ladies - I'm thinking about investing in laser hair removal for my face or "goatee" area as I call it ...

Just wondering if any cysters have had laser hair removal that have insulin resistance and high testosterone levels... I spend an hour each morning plucking dark course hairs from my chin/lip/neck area... Since I'm ttc I can't do anything about my testosterone levels, and I'm just wondering if investing in the laser treatments will be worth it or not... I HOPE so, so if you have had good luck with laser removal, please let me know!

With fingers crossed,
Nic

Don't bother with laser unless or until you have your testosterone levels well within the normal female range. If your testosterone levels are in the male range, then get a good men's-type electric razor -- it'll cut down that hour every morning to a minute or less every morning.

I don't agree. Get the laser hair removal! Go to someplace that offers a gaurantee, such as an American Laser Center. You get touch ups for free for 2 years after your done. They are results orriented. And, with PCOS, we may allways develop new folicles due to the illness. However, once a folicle is disabled by laser, that's that! You will get results. I feel, if I have to have my face/body lasered twice a year for life to maintain, it's worth it!

I think it was worth it. I still have hair there but it's not as dark and fewer. I was waxing like every two weeks. Now I can go once a month with a little plucking in between and be okay.

THANKS!!! You know I've had several women say don't get it until your testosterone is under control - but then I thought, hey, all these clinics do hair removal for men too with excess hair on all parts of their bodys, and their testosterone is certainly not in check hehe! So if it can work for a man, why can't it work for me!!!
I've been so excited the last couple of days once I decided to pursure this, and for those cysters with that beard or goatee look, it's really a life saver... And when dealing with infertility, a little something to look forward to makes all the difference...
I will keep you posted!
Nic

Batewoman, get it!!! My hormones aren't quite "undercontrol" and I started and am VERY happy! Just be realistic. You may need touchups for a lifetime! Where I go, I paid 1K for 6 treatments, with a year of touch ups for free. Soooo worth it to me!!!! Just make sure you find someone with the right laser for you! Do a lot of research before hand.
