Default Laser hair removal on the NHS

I've just been to see my endocrinologist and saw a locum instead... nice fellow, actually knew what PCOS was without an explanation... he's recommended to my GP to refer me for laser hair removal.

I haven't heard of it being available on the NHS for PCOS though I have found out that they are now obligated to provide it for M to F gender reassignment.

Has anyone ever had laser hair removal for PCOS on the NHS?

Hi i have heard about people getting it on NHS but its only been very few people with severe facial hair that ive head about via PCOS forums, personally i found my GP to be very unsympathetic, she told me if things get that bad why can i not just shave it off like her other female patients lol. I will proberly go private once i have a baby. Ive heard SK:IN clinics are good, they used to do a promotion, it may have been half price if you had a doctors letter confirming PCOS although im not sure if they still do it so its worth shopping around and asking if any special rates for pcos lol

hi i asked my gp last year about this hair removal i have very bad facial hair and all they would give me is vaniqua cream which just turns the hair white, so instea of having a black beard i would have a white beard like santa, not a good option, when i have had the baby i will pay to go private to have the hair removed with laser, i did buy a rio laser hair machine it does work but you have to have a lot of time and patients to see results, which i dont have
