I went through a year's worth of treatment and thankfully my last treatment was 1 month before we concieved. My hair growth was very slow and very sparse throughout pregnancy and all I needed was to pluck a few here and there (on face).
I go to a dermatologist's office where they use a Light Sheer laser, and I always need to use the Emla numbing cream, my pain threshold is low and I do much better with the cream before a treatment. My derm said she doubts the laser treaments are harmful to a PG woman, it's just that there are no official studies that say so and until then they won't treat anyone PG. She also said that the Emla cream is safe in small quarter-size areas, but left on a larger area it's also unclear whether or not that much Lidocaine is safe in case it is absorbed topically.
I hope you have good luck with the PG hormones slowing your hair growth.
