Okay, I called about having laser hair removal done, the prices the woman told me it would be was.. 1st vistit - $125, 2nd-6th visit - $100 and if I needed any more after the 6th it'd be $75. My question is does this sound like a good deal? I don't know anything more about it, i'm going to call to get an appointment to go talk with her. My other questions are (For those who have had this done) Is it painful? is it worth it?.. any other thoughts or advice you have for someone looking into having this done?
Thank you very much!!

That doesn't sound too bad; mine was I think -- about $700 for 6 treatments if I remember right. I only got to do three of them as the clinic I went to closed, but I did get my money back for the unused part.

hey there...those prices sound good to me. I have heard of women who spend a lot more than that. i have heard that it is a bit painful but oh so worth it. Good luck to you, let us know how it comes out.

that's cheaper than what i paid a few years ago, but prices have come down and some of the lasers and stuff have changed.
i can tell a difference from before i had it done...lip, under chin, goatee, sideburns...
i do still shave lip and under chin almost everyday. i get the goatee and my eyebrows waxed about once a month or so...sometimes i forget, i used to get it done when i would get my hair colored, but that has been years.....
it often depends on the color and texture of your hair, or so i have been told. and depending on how out of wack your hormones are can make a difference....but like i said i can still definately tell a difference and it works differently for different people..
once i get back on met the way i should be, i am wanting to try it again.....
we paid over 2 thousand when i had it done...
pain....might help to take some tylenol/advil before hand just to help swelling, kind of like a snap from a rubber band....not as bad as waxing. and you might end up a little bit pink.....
i hope this helps and good luck, i am curious to hear what happens......
I just want to say I've done laser for 3 years now and I still have to go back continually. I was the "perfect" candidate with white skin, dark hair, and i had never plucked before.
I've decided I'm going to try electrolysis. Lasers are really only "permanent reduction" but not necessarily removal. I've started with this really great electroylsis (sp?) lady who does a measure of hair density growth and every 6 treatments they see if you're progressing or not to see if you should continue treatment. She's said she thinks given a year she can get rid of 90%.
The laser has worked for some, although I know that you might want to consider sometimes laser puts hair in a dormant stage and it could potentially return whenever.
I think you might want to check into electroylsis as well before you decide laser. Also beware of who you're going to get laser from. People have been burned by technicians who dont know what they're doing.
I dont want to be discouraging but I think you should know all options before you spend the money on laser.
I am getting my bikini lasered and I am getting a package. then after a year if any grows back I get a greatly reduced rate for the rest of my life which is like $1 per inch or something so it's no more than being waxed every so often.

I had my 1st treatment 2 weeks ago, the hair on my chin is falling out and i am down to shaving ever 3-4 days as apossed to everyday. yes it hurt, it was like have bacon grease splater on you. but with results like this i can't complain. I am paying $50 per session. I thought that was a great price. almost to good to be true.
