Default Laser questions

Ok I am SICK of shaving my chin. This whole thing happened because I have this habit of picking at my face. Picking at blonde hairs and then ugly, stiff black ones grow in their place. While I have blonde hairs all over my face I have decided to bite bullet and get laser on my sideburns and my chin for starters.

I have contacted two clinics in my area, one will charge 100-150 for the two areas but they done purely by technicians. No physician oversees the process. The other one is 275 for the two areas (now, this is per session mind you) and it is overseen by a dr. The laser is a Lightsheer Diode system. These clinics are both in Minnesota.

I have fair to medium skin tone and the hair is course and brown colored. There is a fair amount of it. I think my problems were induced by excessive plucking.

Please help! thanks!

I plan to get an RX for vaniqa and get laser for the rest. I am sick of hair, it's making me crazy. all I think about is the hair, oh does she see it? will he see it? is it obvious? I feel it all the time and think about it constnatly, I need some relief from this!

I was very lucky in that my neighbor is a derm and gave me free laser. It didn't completely help me, I still have to pluck every night, but it may have lessened the intensity of growth and thickness. It might also be that i didn't get the "full" treatment because I only went twice and i think you have to go a few times. My results could also be because I lost some weight and improved my health, so who knows! I just wanted to warn you that it may not be the answer to your prayers. But keep hope!

Default lazer hair removal

I have sone it all....5 years ago I had a lazer treatment done...it DID not work. I waxed my chin, neck, lip and eybrows for 8 years. Every night I would spend 30-40 min in the 8x mirror plucking away. October of 2002 I decided to try lazer again. It was a total difference. I spent a total of $350. (80 month) and had my lip, chin and what they call chin extender. I would have to say I no longer have the beard I was had. I let my husband touch my face without the fear of stubble.
I ended up at a place in the mall. A little crazy. But it worked. I have a few little hairs here and there and should really go back in for a follow-up. The hardest part was I could not tweeze or wax between appts. (4 wks) I had to shave. the reason you shave is because hair grow in cycles and shaving works the best.
Each treatment takes about 15 min and it a bit painful. But so is waxing and tweezing. If you ask my husband he will tell you it was worth every penny. I know don't say "do you think they could see my facial hair". I wear less makeup, I am not afraid to be close to someone and have them see my face. I stil shave my lip about once a week to keep the very few hairs in control. what i do have left is thiner and no noticeable. (except to me who still looks in the 8x mirror.
I checked out a lot a plans and places. I ended up at NEVO in the Mall. It was well worth it. if you have any question ask me.
