Default last ? - promise... EPO?

I realize as I type these questions that I really don't know too much about the whole Herb process at all... I'm taking FUR and Vitex and I feel much better but I am sooooo impatient and I want to addsomething else to help me O.
Anyway... who here uses Evening Primrose Oil? How long did it take before you saw results? Do you take it for your whole cycle?
thanks....
Jenn

EPO is a plant estrogen FYI. It isn't recommended if you're already estrogen dominant. Have you had a hormone panel done?

EPO blocks the effects of estrogen dominance and reduced inflamation. It is an essential fatty acid. I have been taking it for a month and all cycle long and my symptoms of estrogen dominance have lessened and increased CM. I only take 1000mg a day.

Good Luck!

It blocks estrogen because it is a plant estrogen (phytoestrogen) and sits in the estrogen receptors. However, it does not do all the things that real estrogen does, and this adds up. What you end up with is effects both of estrogen dominance and a lack of estrogen. Phytoestrogens are imperfect estrogen replacement and do not do all the "Good" things estrogen does, but will in excess do the "bad" things estrogen does.

I read the article and it is the only one that I could find out of 25 that discouraged the use of EPO. Dr. Lee's book "What your Dr. may not tell you about premenopause" which was written after the one on Menopause, does not discourage the use of EPO and encourages it to be used with NPC to help lessen symptoms of estrogen dominance.

An alternative to EPO is Flax seed oil. EPO and like fatty oils are not used to increase estrogen but eliminate excess estrogen.

I am not trying to pursuade anyone in any direction but there are alot more articles on the web that encourage the use of EPO and Flax seed oil than those against.

Good Luck!

Talking

for what it's worth- I've only been taking 500mg EPO for hmmmm just over a week- and already my cm seems to be increasing and also following a more normal cycle towards eventually becoming ewcm..... this is a definite improvement for me.... I hadn't really noticed much cm at all before---- unless I really went digging for it- lol --- I'm noticing it now on the tissue... ( sorry if this is way too much info!!!) .... everything I've been able to find on EPO has been positive....

Good luck !
