I am so sorry for your loss. Take some comfort in the knowledge that next time around there are things that can be done to improve your chances for success.
Last July I had a m/c at 7 weeks. I had a very tiny bit of spotting and went in for an u/s to see what was going on. We saw the baby and the heartbeat. The dr did bloodwork to check my levels but 4 hours later I started m/cing and by the next day on u/s everything was gone. My b/w showed that the HCG level was where it should be but that my progesterone was too low to support a pregnancy. After more tests I was diagnosed with pcos and put on glucophage.
When I got pregnant in Feb the dr monitored my b/w very closely and at 6 weeks my p4 was 25. (The doctors like to see it over 20.) Just to be safe the dr put me on prog. supplements from week 6 to week 13. At my 11 week b/w my prog. level had dropped to 22, and that was on supplements. The dr thought that without the supp. that I probably would have lost this preg too.
When you feel up to it, talk to your dr about what can be done to prevent the low prog. level in the future. In the meantime, take time to grieve and heal. Many hugs to you and hopefully you will be back on the preg board sooner than you know.
