I was just diagnosed with PCOS about two weeks ago. Prior to getting diagnosed, I had been bleeding for three months straight. When I finally got to a doctor, she put me on birth control to stop the bleeding. After about two days the bleeding finally stopped. Then, out of nowhere, about 2 weeks later, I started spotting. I figured this was normal because the birth control can take a while to work. Well, the spotting turned into full on bleeding, heavier than before. I am also in so much pain all the time. There are times when I am in so much pain that I just crawl up in a ball on the floor and don't move for hours at a time. I don't feel like the doctor is doing all she can do for me. This cannot be normal. My mom says I should wait because the birth control will work everything out, but I cant live like this. My ovaries feel like they will explode and it every step I take is pain. I really need some advice. Thank you in advance to anyone that could give me some advice.
That is very scary and I'm sorry to hear you are going through all that. I think it sounds like there may be more than just PCOS going on. What sort of tests have you had done? I know several people who have endometriosis that have symptoms similar to that. Maybe they need to do some more tests...I wouldn't just keep waiting. It sounds like this has been going on for some time for you and it sounds serious to me. I hope you get it figured out!

Thank you for your support. The only tests that were done was a abdominal ultrasound, transvaginal ultrasound, and a blood test to check my thyroid and blood level. The blood test showed that my blood level was way below normal. She said I am running the risk of passing out and needing a blood transfusion. The ultrasounds did not show much. They said they couldn't see my right ovary at all but the doctor just shrugged it off. I know deep down that this is just not normal and I feel so alone. Thank you for taking the time to reply to my thread.
I *think* I had a full period in the middle of my cycle when I started Yasmin, then again on the off week and then a smaller one during the next cycle. It gradually got better and eventually my periods were very light with little to no cramping and only lasted 3 days. I had to stop taking them for various reasons.
I hope this helps.
