Unhappy Lean PCOS and Vitex

Hi all, I've read a lot about vitex helping women in restoration of regular mentrual cycle. I am lean and currently on met. Unfortunately, met doesn't seems to work for me in terms of getting a regular period. I exercise daily and take low glycemic diet too. Just wondering if anyone out there has the same situation as me and adding vitex helps. If so, what is the daily dosage I should be taking in. The instruction on the bottle mentioned 2 capsules twice daily and I thought it is way too much (I bought the 400mg dose). How long will I expect to see some results?

I'm not thin, but I will say that I took Vitex, and my cycle became regular (every 28-29) days while taking it. I took 3 400 mg pills per day (the Solaray green lid, it's cheaper than the burgundy). Right now, I'm taking the standardized Vitex (Solaray burgundy lid), 2 capsules a day. The standardized version is supposedly guaranteed to have the important parts of the vitex plant, but they both worked for me! I'd say to start low and work your way up. Listen to what your body says, see how it responds. Also, don't give up too quickly--if you don't see results right away, give it a few months.

Thank you so much for replying as well as the advice on the dosage. I plan on starting with just 2 capsules a day. More doesn't mean better rite?

Don't know the answer but I'm in the same boat- thin and on met and starting vitex tomorrow! I haven't heard anything about vitex working more or less based on weight. I'm taking 3 400mg tabs daily. I don't know if more is better but the bottle says 2-3 tabs for the first 12-16 weeks so I'll do 3 for 16 weeks and then one daily thereafter. I'm ttc though so I want to take as much as I can.
