About 2 years ago, I started losing large amounts of hair from my head. I have a couple autoimmune disorders and both my rheumatologist and I chalked it up to that and the side effects from some of the meds I was taking at the time. About 4 months ago I noticed that my hair has started growing back and is thickening up again but the hair on my legs has all but stopped growing. I used to have to shave every night but now I only have to maybe twice a week if that. Could this be related to the PCOS? Almost everything not explained by the RA sure is.
this is my theory. Hormones can change lots of things. So, i suppose it could be the pcos doing it. Personally i have to shave my legs less now, that i am on spiro.

I think you should have your hormone levels checked... it sounds like they may have corrected themselves for some reason. And that would be a very good thing.
The endocrine system and the immune system are still somewhat of a mystery and I suppose theoretically it could be possible that your PCOS was a feature of your autoimmune disorders and that a change with those caused a postive change to your hormone levels.
I have the oppisite problem too. My leg hair has always been dark, thick and fast growing. I am prickly within hours of shaving
me too! this is why i never wear skirts without tights and forget about shorts. long skirts and pants for me. skirts with cute leggings. i don't care if leggings are out of fashion. i like short skirts. once i wore a mini without tights and shaved in the morning. as i was out in the sun all day i was walking by a coulple who commented that the au natural granola look must be in again. i looked and my legs already covered in stubble. that was the last time i exposed my legs in public.
