LOL! I think it's normal for a lot of cysters! I have to shave every day in the summer if I'm wearing shorts. I can sorta get away with every second day, but there's definate stubble. If I want smooth, it's every day. In the winter, I just give up!

I shave every single day. There is definite growth within a few hours so even if I shave in the morning it doesn't last a day. I haven't skipped a day in about 7 years.

As soon as I shave my legs, I get chill bumps and then have stubble again. And I think I am causing the chill bumps because I am trying so hard to not get them. This happens even in the middle of summer.

Default leg hair kinda

I saw this title of this thread and I thought it might relate to me. Not really but here goes.............I have very little to no hair anymore on my legs. I used to have a fair amount. It has always been kinda soft hair..........I'm also blonde..........but I never liked to shave too often and since it was/is blonde, I would shave more in the summer.........but far less in the winter and this winter, it has only grown a bit around my ankles and maybe a strip or two in front.............it's very weird.

I have no problem with losing hair on my head or anything. I do have chin hairs that I pluck pretty much daily or every couple of days.

Do you think that because I rarely shave my legs the hair is just not growing much?

I have the same problem! I thought it had something to do with the PCOS but I wasnt sure.

Shaving even once a week is a problem for me because it actually hurts...well more stings.

Its fine in the Winter...not so good in the Summer!

Well, I was shaving every day and I just really got tired of it, especially since I have to shave all the way up and I have a major problem with ingrown hair in my bikini area. I also have the problem with my legs stinging. I have now gone to shaveing twice a week and what seems to be working for me is.

I use a new razor every time. (seems to help with the sting) I use satin care for dry skin by gillette shaving gel (purple lid also for anti nicks and cuts) and I use the naturally smooth by jergens its a shave minimizing moisturizer and it really works, I used it for about 8 weeks before I really noticed a diffrence and I use bikini zone for the ingrown hair problem.

I hope this helps someone.

If I want to wear shorts, I can get away with two days, but I'm definately not too comfortable on the 2nd day if I'm anywhere besides my house. Before being diagnosed w/ PCOS I had no ide what was wrong with me! I just had no idea why I was so hary & had the dark patches & other symptoms. I was esp. concerned about the hair though, because my mom can go w/o shaving for months & you can't tell, the hair is soooo thin & blond & her legs are perfectly smooth. I have to shave all the way up & even when I go dif. directions & everything, I still don't get a close shave on the back of my upper legs, but it's mostly above where shorts end, so it's all good.

I never knew this was an abnormal thing for women/girls without PCOS, I've just been this way for so long. I thought all females had to shave that often! I guess you learn something new everyday!

How many of you have to shave right up to the top of your leg? If so do you do this every day? I find if I do I get raised red spots at the tops of my legs that itch like mad, so I tend to shave what will be on view, ie up to my knees unless I'm going swimming or something. I don't wear shorts or short skirts anyway as I'm so self conscious about my legs, if it's warm i wear long skirts thatr are cool in summer.

I think most women (with or without PCOS) would need to shave there legs every day or every two days to keep their leg stubble free. I've gotten to the point where I'll go up to 3 days (sometimes 4) without shaving, just because I can't be bothered. It takes far too long! LOL.

I'll only shave the hair on my thighs (front and back) if I'm going to wear something short, which I usually do. The hair on the back of my thighs drive me silly. It's really long and gross.

When I first started shaving my legs (I was in grade 5 I think) I used to shave every other day to keep the stubble away. But now that I'm older I realize that we all have hairy legs and we all get stubble. And besides, I have this darn neck hair to worry about...
