My husband returned from a business trip several weeks ago with little bars of lemon grass soap that the hotel had supplied. He thought I might like the nice scent. I used it over the next several days in the shower in place of my usual moisturizing or deodorant soaps.
Well, within one week I was seeing a real difference in the breakouts that I get on my chest and back. They aren't terrible but I just could not seem to get it totally cleared up. Within 2 weeks everything was gone-just a few tiny pink marks that have now totally faded. I haven't had completely clear skin on my back for years.
I know we all react differently to things but if it works for me it's got to work for someone else.
That is so cool. I also found a oldie that works. Lye soap, handmade. I drive to Gatlinburg TN to get it which is about 3 hours away but totally worth it. Glad you found something that works!

Kat, I stay in Thailand.. and I eat a lot of Thai food which has lemongrass... but my skin is still the same, no improvements in acne *sigh*.. i guess it doesn't work for me
Which skin product did you buy from Thailand ?

My skin was FLAWLESS while I was there (3 weeks).
Before I returned, I bought up a TON of lemongrass skin products and shipped them home.

I'm in the bed right now (on my lap top) but I'll check later and post.
To be fair, I had decent skin before I went over there...just being there, it looked flawless.
I'm so jealous that you live in Thailand - it's my favorite place on earth!

In the Dallas, TX area I found it at Bath and Body Works. There are several internet sites that sell it but I'm always a little wary of them. I've seen ads for Lemon Grass oil that might be even more effective than the soap.
