This is the first time I've popped into this section of the board. I know there is a lot of controversy surrounding gay couples raising children or parents who later identify as gay coming out to their children. I just want to offer some support to those women and say that it's not really an issue for most of us. I was raised by both of my parents but my mother came out as gay when I was 9. I've had various "step mommies". LOL. We joke that my mothers partner is my 2, 3, 4,6,7 and 9th step-mommy (they've been on and off for 12 years). It's a total non-issue. I know she was terrified to tell my brother and I (he's 19 now, 5 years younger than me) when we were children. The thing your children care most about is you being happy with yourself.
