Great idea!
I'm in Houston and go to an aesthetic center in the same office as my ob/gyn, which is located in the Medical Center area.
I'll update the price list after my next visit (through some sneaky inquiring)
But so far I've had full face (sideburns, chin, mustache, cheeks...everything from the cheekbone to collar) is $200 per visit for the first 4 visits, $175 after. I've only had one treatment and they sent me a $15 coupon for my second treatment.
Their website is here.

I'll post the range I've found. I haven't decided where I'm using yet, and actually have two more consults with dermatologists scheduled. There is a huge variety in pricing. I've also found that in this area each place tends to have one laser, and a sales pitch about why it's the one you should have. I think that it's very important for me to research a bit on my own to get the very best results.
For Lexington, Kentucky- Lowest price is medspa in small shopping center, overseen by a nurse practicioner. The highest price is also a medspa in an upscale neighborhood overseen by a plastic surgeon. Both offer discounts for multiple visits/packages and run occasional specials.
$75-150 Lip or Chin
$85-225 Under Arms
$270-350 Half Leg (upper or lower)
$190-300 Full Face (Woman)
$120-250 Happy Trail or Bikini Line
$435-700 Full Back or Full Arms
$120-200 Neck (Front or Back)
$230-700 Shoulders or Half Chest
$205-575 Brazillian
I just recently went to a Face Clinic to have facial hair removed. I had lip, chin, cheeks, sideburns, and neck done for one package deal price of 450.00 no after charges or extra vist charges. Just one payment. I also have BCBS and I did look into it to see if they would cover, and I had no luck there. I have been told from many that insurances don't like to cover for things like that anyways. They consider it to be cosmetic. It's a shame, considering what we go through and deal with on a daily bases.
It was my first vist on 6/6/08 I will go back 7/11/08. Being it was my first vist I had no idea what to expect. LoL She kept telling me some people tell her it feels like " A little tingle" Or " A little pinch" LoL She mentioned many times everyone pain is different. At the time I thought to myself. "SURELY I will be able to HANDLE this, I'm not CHICKEN, I'm a gutsy kind of gal!" LOL
Well, to be honest I had no idea what i thought it was going to be like. It was more a small shock than anything else. When she did the first "Neck Hairs" I said in a loud voice, "Oh Holy God, You Didn't Tell Me About The Sensitivity Pain!!!" LOL
I got use to it and "SUCKED IT UP & LET HER FINISH!" After she was done, she walked over and grabbed a cloth ran water over it and she said, "watch this!" She wiped it across my cheek and showed it to me. I had all these little hair on the cloth. All I could think was, "GEEEZS was I that hairy!" LOL
I really think it is and will be worth every cent I have spent on it. Can't wait to see more results soon!!! WOO HOO!!!
The Face Clinic I went to is located in Dothan, Alabama
I live in the Northern KY/Cincinnati area, and am in the process of finding a place to get laser done.
So far, the only place I have prices for is a place that specifically does laser hair removal only, which is located in Northern Cincy. It is performed by licensed cosmetic therapists (not sure what that means) and overseen by a doctor, per Ohio law.
They charge by the time, not by the body part being lasered:
5 minutes: $150
10 minutes: $200
15 minutes: $250
They are currently running a special that is a free first appointment. They also have specials where you buy bulk minutes and get a discount (90 minutes $1250, 180 minutes $2200).
I am still trying to find out if they are reputable, but it does seem they have been around for several years. I am continuing to check with a few more places in my area, one is a plastic surgeon's office who my mom has used for other procedures, and one is another cosmetic surgeons office who specializes in peels, laser, and the like.
So... if anyone can answer one question for me, how much can they laser in 5 minutes? I am wanting my upper lip done, but more importantly my chin and neck area. If I could get my chin/neck in 5 minutes I would skip the upper lip, as it isn't as noticeable and is easier for me to deal with. Mostly its my chin and an area that is probably 3x2 inches on my neck.

I live in Kansas City, I have been going to Ideal Image. To get my neck/chin done its 1100.00 ... thats for 5 visits plus touchups, so basically unlimited, with a lifetime warranty. Im on 3rd visit and LOVING it.
I cant believe how much of a difference the first visit made. The first week after the laser is rough.. I have bad bad bumps and swollen neck. After that its smooth. I go every 10 weeks.
It takes about 5 minutes to do my neck /chin.. she asks me if I would like to take a break but I suck it up and move on. It stings like mad, and I wanna quit, whats a little pain compared to a wonderful hairfree neck and chin
Sorry if im rambling... im sleepy
Night all.

Yeah I'm in northern Virginia and prices are crazy!
Stacie, if you have a high pain tolerance you can easily get your neck done in about 5-10 minutes. I had mine done the other day. It didn't hurt terribly. It was hot followed by a sting. In areas where hair is denser it will hurt more (like on my lower abdomen). I didn't take any breaks though. The doctor was surprised at how well I tolerated it (like I said, for me it didn't hurt that much!). She said she's had some patients who cry and have to be babied. LOL.
I went to American Laser Center in Wisconsin....I think maybe I should've gone to the South for treatments! I paid $900 flat rate for lip/chin/neck-ish (under chin...is that the neck?) and they treat it till it's all gone. They go pretty far over to my cheeks if I ask them, which is wonderful. The full face would've cost closer to $2000 I think...and didn't seem worth it to me. Lip/chin is where I have the problem. I want to save up to get my arms done next.
I've gone 4 times and haven't noticed a difference yet, so I'm glad I'm not paying by the session.
First 2 times it hurt so bad. (Technician kept saying how hairy I was. Gee thanks. But that's probably why it also hurt so much. Um, I also think she's been relieved of her services?) It was very hot and I felt it shoot right through the hair and into the follicle. Third time, they had this machine that blew concentrated cold air and numbed my face. It was great.

I used to live in Herndon, VA and had my laser treatments done there. Granted, I used a "spa" for my laser and not a medical office. My underarms were a package of 5 (plus one free) sessions for $650. I had my lower legs done at the same 5 treatment plus one for $1500. NOVA prices are pretty outragious. The spa I use is currently running a special for $150 an hour (max of 2 hours).... so you can get any area you want done in an hour.... I can get my legs and underarms done in that time but granted, I am a very little person (5 foot 2 and 100 pounds). Also, laser did not work well for me... I had over 8 sessions for underarms and the hair still returned... which they did say would happen and does over the course of time.

I just started LHR treatment in Suffolk, VA (SE part of the state) at a doctor's office. I don't know exact price per treatment area per session, but I purchased a package deal of 6 sessions for $450 each session for the following areas: Full face & neck, underarms, bikini & happy trail from belly button down, and a 3 in x 3 in patch of fuzz on my upper back. It took about 30 minutes to get all my bits done. After the 6th treatment, any further treatments are 1/2 price. Prepaying for the 6 session package was an additional 10% off. Now to see if it works! I'm in NYC and I did a consultation at a Dermatologist's office. THe price for 'full face' is $500 per session. I'm told I'd need 6-8 sessions about 4 weeks apart. They only open weekdays- no evenings either. RIght now I think I could swing the money but definitely not the time off work. I have the info for the Dr if anyone is interested.
