 Levothyroxine? does it influence periods??
Hiya,
I posted a about a month ago about my TSH results and how i have been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism.
I have been commenced on levothyroxine and am at the moment takking 75mcgs of the stuff. My question is does it regulate periods or have any influence on them at all? I'm asking cos prior to taking the medication i had not had a period for 4 months (not pregnant) and from the 3rd day of taking levothyrixine i've had bleeding, and has lasted for about 20 days, could this be attributed to taking the hypothyroid med?
P.S i did go to my gp and he gave me meds to stop it. But nothing else was said just a prescription written! |
