Joshua is adorable. You must feel very proud of him

Actually, crying and irritablility are signs of depression, as well as not sleeping well and extreme fatigue. Obviously, with a baby you're not going to get optimal rest, but have to grab it when you can. It sounds as though it's doing it's job, to me. Not everyone has the exact same symptoms or degree of symptoms. Lexapro is a well reviewed anti-d. If it helps, continue to use it. If it doesn't and you decide to go off of it, please contact your Dr. to find out the best way for you to do that. Some meds have to be reduced slowly. I actually take Celexa, which is basically the same thing but older version of Lexapro, not only for depression but for my sleep patterns. I have a sleep disorder and celexa helps me sleep through the night. I also take another med to do this, but I definitely notice if I don't take my celexa. I've tried it. Wasn't good. LOL I don't really have other symptoms of depression unless I go off it and then they are very mild and not all the time. But, I'll go back to crying easily, not sleeping well even with a sleeping pill and being generally hard to live with. What ever decision you make, I wish you luck. Enjoy your baby boy. Lendi
