LH:FSH help

LH:FSH- Please help

I am HYPOThyroid and 24. I was always regular in my periods(10years) except for last one year which my doctors think was due to thyroid. I did a bloodtest to rule out PCOS last year in an anovulatory cycle (cd 50) and here are my results. I dont know

whether the LH greater on an anovulatory cycle contributes to PCOS. At that time my gyn said I dont have PCOS. But I am still concerned about LH >FSH. Is a test taken on day50 valid or they need to take one in cd3. I dont cyst on my ovaries.

I am seeing an RE now and she was also not concerned about higher LH. I was on clomid cycle last cycle 50mg and developed 3 follicles. Got LH Surge on cd15, Ovulated with p4-34 and resulted in a cyst of 3cm. Now I have to wait one month.

Blood Test
*********** Glucose,fasting - 82(normal-65-99mg/dl)
FSH - 6.5
LSH - 14.5
Insulin - 11 (normal less than 17)
Prolactin - 9.5
Testosterone - 55(Normal 20-76)

Well according to my RE, the LH/FSH imbalance is most definitely a sign of PCOS and infact causes all the other hormones to get out of whack and cause anovulation. My ratio is 3:1 and that confirmed my diagnosis right there...Id get a 2nd opinion if I were you.....I did, and it made all the difference in the world........from "your labs are normal" to "your labs are abnormal and you have PCOS"

Fortunately the only thing off balance was the LH/FSH, no thyroid or prolactin troubles, no diabetes either...however I just failed my 1st round of 50mg Clomid, didnt develop any follies at all

.....so its been a bummer day....
