Default Licorice root can stimulate Ovulation if used like clomid!!

Hi everyone!! I am new. I found out some really awesome information that Licorice root taken for 5 days (cycle days 5-9 or 3-7) can stimulate Ovulation for some women. I have at least 2 links for you. I'll start with one, then I might dig up the other one..

here is the first one...about a lady that had PCOS and found out that licorice root stimulated her to ovulate. She even got pregnant! She has a special herbal recipe...heres the link..

http//:members.aol.com/sv2/howwedidit.html

Im not sure how to create a clickable link in my post. Can someone give me a hint?

Thanks!

I use licorice on occasion for health reasons. I have seen it for sale as a powder in my health food store, or it can be ordered online. I think it is important to not buy the kind with the glycyrrhizin removed. Glycyrrhizin is the active ingredient in licorice, and it is an antiandrogen. It works by inhibiting androgens released by the adrenal glands.

It has other effects too, such as it can cause high blood pressure and water retention, and insomnia if taken too much. However, I only take it occasionally and I love how beautiful it makes my skin. I also love how it seems to make me feel relaxed and calm.

Cool!! Let us know if it works or not! IT may be a thing like the soy. It works most of the time, but sometimes it doesnt! I ordered my licorice, and I am stimulating AF to come on Sunday or Monday, so I will hopefully be starting my licorice next week. It will be so fun to see what happens.

Also, I found out that Tribulus also stimulates and induces Ovulation in women. Your supposed to take it on days 5-14 in your cycle. IT raises the LH and FSH levels. A study was done and one thing was that it raised the LH like around 72% after only 5 days of taking it. LH is what your body secretes right before OVulation. I may try both, or one at a time...lots of expereminting.

Royal jelly by itself and/or Royal jelly with bee pollen also have positive effects on ovulation, so something else to think about adding to my "stimulate ovulation regime"!!

A lady on the TCOYF.com board tried 3 things at once and thinks she ovulated. She took red clover, soy, and licorice for 5 days!!

This should be our thread for herbal clomid subsitutes besides soy to induce ovulation.

How can we add this to the stickys ?

Don't know whether this is the licorice root working but i am not stressed and my blood pressure is normal and i feel calm since i've been taking it.
Usually i am stressed out, annoyed at every little thing and bad tempered.
It's weird feeling cool calm and collected, instead of a usual fired up Aries

Ok I just went and bought some! Now if AF would just come around one of these days..... So, I should just take it like I was with clomid right?

Yes, thats the way Ive read it. SOme women may take it up to 7 days then quit, but I am taking it 5. This is my first time trying it. I read it doesnt work for everyone, but hey, whats 5 days trying something?!! I figure I might as well try it enough cycles till my bottles all. Just 5 days a month doesnt seem like that big of a deal!

I am on my 2ed day with licorice..so I really hope it works. It will be a cheap remedy thats for sure. Treating stuff naturally takes $$$ for me, but this would be an easy fix if it works!

How much licorice (dosage) is recommended? I think I might give this a try.
