Points: 1,330.99 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,330.99 | I've been eating salads every day since met and so far they haven't bothered me. Maybe it just depends on the person (?). If I eat anything with simple carbs/sugars (aside from fruit) I feel naseaus. Tortilla chips are the biggest one that I've noticed. I've read that if you combine carbs with fat (apples and peanut butter, pasta and alfredo sauce, etc) that it helps. I eat apples with peanut butter for breakfast and no problems. |

I mean I think a big reason for the metformin is to get you to make choices so you don't "test" things and eat those foods...
Potatoes, Pasta with any cheese or white sauce, white pasta with tomato sauce...
Pretty much metformin only messes with me if it's a high carb food, period.
Which as PCOSers.. we're not supposed to be eating anyways...
Lettuce doesn't bother me.. and if lettuce IS bothering you.. it's usually due to some other kind of IBS.. and not the Metformin.. or maybe the dressing you're putting on the lettuce... Alot of dressings are either high sugar.. or intensely high fat... |

I notice once I pass the pills early in the morning I can eat pretty much whatever. The rest of the day I feel fine. Salad is the only hard one for me but if I have it for dinner I pass it in the morning. When I had my gallbladder out two years ago almost everything effected me but it was a combi of the the gallbladder and met. It lasted a few months. |

My Mood: Points: 2,193.13 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,193.13 | Salads don't bother me too much on the Met, it seems to vary with the day. Almost any food can give me diarrhea it seems. Other than having that every morning, I have it sometimes after very healthy, low carb foods, and sometimes after the stuff that would give me diarrhea anyway.
Does anybody else have strong aversions to foods? I don't crave sugar anymore...what a blessing! But, I can eat almost no meat. I especially can't eat grilled chicken. I love it, but after I eat it, I vomit and vomit. I can't even think of eating most beef, especially ground. Sometimes even tofu that resembles meat makes me wanna hurl.
I've lost almost 20lbs since January. Not speedy weight loss, but I'm still pretty happy.
