Yaz is a low dose so it doesn't do much for pcos related problems. I know alot of women use Yasmin to help control those issues. I have used it in the past with alot of luck, I am on it again, but only for the past 2 months, and haven't noticed much difference this round. Not sure why I had luck before and not now, but give it a try.

I have been on Yaz for the last year, but before I was on Yaz I was on Yasmin for a year. I switched becauses Yaz is cheaper than Yasmin. What are the benefits of being on Yasmin? I do not have any hair problems. I have weight and irregular periods.

I say to try Yasmin...it should be cheaper than yaz because there is a generic available for Yasmin.

Yasmin—3 mg drospirenone and 30 mcg ethinyl estradiol per tablet (has 21 "active" pills)
Yaz—3 mg drospirenone and 20 mcg ethinyl estradiol per tablet (has 24 active pills)

I have not noticed a difference since changing from Yasmin to Yaz. Now that the price of Yaz was gone up $7 since I purchased it yesterday maybe I might switch to the generic Yasmin, Ocella.

Here are the prices of the three birth control pills at my Pharamcy as of right now.

Generic Yasmin
Ocella $54.03

Yasmin $70.49

Yaz $66.99
