Default with a little help from my friends...

\rant

I'm so frustrated these days. I'm currently on about CD90 and I'm tired of it. I never thought that I'd be so patiently waiting for that wonderful, put you out visitor of AF! This isn't the first time, nor will it most likely be the last time, but I'm going bananas over here. I don't know why I'm getting so anxious, but I am. Why won't I just bleed already? I already know that I'm not ovulating. I've mourned that, and I have come to understand and loathe that fact without wearing it on my sleeve. But, why, why, why.... WHY won't I bleed? I'm so frustrated. I have been experiencing PMS-like symptoms for the last two months. My bbs have increased almost a full cup! I have gained almost 10 pounds in the last month without trying and I just don't know what to do anymore! I can't get into the dr until end of July. I don't know if I can deal with this much longer. I'm not usually a drama queen, but this past month has been unreal. I swear to everything holy that if one more person asks me what's wrong or asks me about when I'm going to have children (oh, and that's another rant, I know!) I'm going to pull out my BBT chart and ask them to tell ME when lol

Someone... anyone.... give me strength to carry on.... lol

Is there any "tricks of the trade" so to speak that can help induce a period without drugs? I have four more weeks to go before that is a possibility....

/rant.

:-)

I'm sorry sweetie. PCOS stinks.... I don't O or get AF on my own ever it seems- and I agree, it's frustrating. I would at least put a call into your current dr and tell them what CD you're on and ask them to call in a prescription for provera for you. Would they?
I also know what you mean about the when are you having kids question.... we've stopped going to family events b/c it just keeps getting more and more painful to say we're working on it...

I can certainly relate to how you feel, over 90% of the time I need provera to bring on AF. It does get so frustrating.

This past weekend I saw my husband's cousin for the first time in several years. My mother-in-law has already told her that we are having a lot of difficulties ttc. Well, everyone was talking about her 1 year old & she looked at me & said "so you guys just decided you don't want kids?". I was devastated, I looked at her & said "we would love to have children", then turned & went upstairs to cry. I was SO mad, because I knew my mother-in-law had already told her about our situation. Later she told me she knew about our problems ttc, but she "wanted to hear it from us", to make sure she knew what was going on.

Wow...people are just so insensitive sometimes. They have no idea how much it hurts to think that you might never have children - especially when they are waiving their children right in your face. I'm so sorry MeMe.

And Babes, I completely understand your frustration. I was wondering just this morning how people stay positive through extraordinarily long cycles. Anyway, you could try natural progesterone cream to bring on AF. I used it to end my last cycle, and it did work. I can't say that it solved the problem, as I haven't O'd this cycle either, but at least I got the chance to start over, right? Maybe you could call the dr. to see if he or she will prescribe provera without seeing you, and if not, read up on NPC and see if it is something you want to try.

OK So I am missing something. You say you can't go to the doctor until the end of July (I TOTALLY understand, I have to wait until then as well, I am on cd107) Since he just diagnosed you in February, can you call and request a provera prescription? If they agree to call in a prescription, you can get the generic at walmart, target, and kroger for $4. I would call the doctor and say that your hormones are completely out of whack and request. I am sorry if I overlooked something, and there is a reason your doc would not do this.

I agree w/the provera if you can get it. The progesterone - I don't have Af until I stop but I guess that's the point, to trick your body. I have gone up to a yr. w/out Af so I know exactly what your talking about. Sometimes (emphasis on sometimes) I can get it to go with asprin - I guess it thins enough to allow gravity to take over.
Good luck to you - it's awful I know.

You could try natural progesterone cream. I think there are several posts about that on here and I am sure someone else will know more about it than I do. It can be purchased anywhere like Whole Foods, etc. and you use it for 7 or 8 days or until it brings on AF. It worked for me once a few years ago, but I cannot remember the details of how many days I used it.

Well my opinion is probably a little unorthodox but here it is

I would ask your doc to call you in a script for clomid and just start that (since you know you haven't ovulated). You don't have to have af before starting clomid if you know you aren't pregnant. It sounds like you don't ovulate unmedicated. As you can see by my ticker, this is the exact protocol I just did and I am now pregnant (haven't updated my ticker, it just happened). I was feeling just like you so I called my doc around cd85 and asked them to call in some clomid for me. I'm glad I did! At the very least it may get you af. Good luck!
