Default Little help for the new girl?

SO ...I am begining my new life style on Monday. I will be finally nicotine free after years of addiction. I am exercising already every day but during the weekend. What I need help on is my diet.

I want a really healthy low carb low fat diet. I have been doing research all week. I know a few things I can eat but I would really like some good food and recipe ideas.
Thank you in advance for your time girls!

Hugs,
Ginnie

Hey! Welcome to SC...

I am smokefree too actually, I just quit 3 months ago...Am feeling better then ever, GL!!

As for low carb food, well I usually cook meat & veggies, on the grill or in the oven! I also make Wraps Tortilla wraps (whole wheat & flax ones) & salads alot. For something sweet you can make fat free, no sugar - jello & pudding & make Nutri whip & you have a calorie free dessert!!!

For veggies I switch em up daily, but altogether I buy - Green/yellow beans, asparagus, Broccoli, cawliflower, Zuchinni & eggplant. I use fresh garlic & spray with a bit of PAM & throw in tin foil either on the grill or in the oven.

For the wraps I use lean Turkey, Lettuce & Onion (tomatoes have sugar)...
Or I use left over grilled chicken or beef, cut into strips & dip into fat free ( no Milk Fat) Sour cream. I also make em with Hummus & babaganou for a great taste!

Hope I helped a bit...I am actually looking for some new recipes myself!!!!

It is a chick pea spread/dip. There's some lemon, garlic, tahini & a few other spices added (selective)...You can buy/make different flavors of it, like roasted red pepper hummus or sundried tomato hummus etc....I grew up eating it & love it.
