Unhappy A little scared

This week I started taking Met and also Estrogen, because my RE said my levels were really low. 14 days after I take the Estrogen, I am supposed to start taking Prometrium, too, to try to get AF. So far, I am not having any major problems with the Met, but I've noticed I've started to get darkish hairs growing on my cheeks!!! I am freaked out by this, and am thinking it is because of the Estrogen. I am on 500mg of Met, but will be increasing the dose to 1000 next week. I hate hormones.

Default on met too

Hi there,

I'm not on estrogen but I am on met and the hair is a listed side effect. I actually found I got less hair after met. (I have chin issues.) Check out the Metformin under medications. You'll get tons of info there.

Hope you figure it out. Hang in there.

Just for the records, I read on a couple obscure websites about estrogen dominance and they mentioned excessive hair growth and sinus infections as being common. I actuallly have a sinus infection at the moment...however, not wishing to self diagnose (cackly giggle) I think I'll keep taking my meds and give it another week or so!

Thanks so much for your responses. I have no idea what I'd do without this forum. Perhaps join a circus?
