Today I went to the Dr. and he gave me a RX for Met. and he wants to start me on 1000 mg. I am worried because I was on 500 mg. before and took myself off of it because of the issues. I am scared that it is going to be worst this time with 1000. I have been reading other posts about how eating fatty foods, like McDonald's, this will cause a problem. I am sorta addicted to McDonald's but with Met. I think I will be able to control myself, reading what will happen. I am sure that's why I had problems before, but I can be a little slow sometimes. If you could be so kind, and let me know if you have ever been in this situation? Thank you.

I took my first 1000mg dose on Christmas Eve. That was a HUGE mistake! I spent all of Christmas day in the bathroom!
I felt gross for 3 or so days. Then I felt sick to my stomach when I woke up in the morning for about 5 months. It would usually go away within 2 hours from when I woke up. Now I only have *those* issues every week or two. I am having good results though, so I don't want to stop.
(((Hugs))) Hang in there! I am on my third month, the side effects are gone, and I am starting to see the great things it is doing for me. I occasionally have "the runs" , but I take immodium if I need to, that usually helps! Best of luck!

I am up to 2000 mg but as you having a hard time with the fast food issue.. I really need the will power to change my diet. I have been so sick this week..but i know i have the power to change my diet as well and only i can do it. We can hang in there together
I am on my 3rd week also and I am on 2000mgs and I can not eat McDonalds with out having to run to the restroom. I have taken met in the past and it does get better.
Just be patient.
