Default Liver Cleanse

I started taking a liver cleanse supplement this week. My acne it getting worse. I'm wondering if it's getting worse b/c I'm flushing bad stuff out through my skin and it will get better or it's getting worse just because and won't get better.

When you do a detox, your body will usually seem to get worse before it gets better. That can include acne, bad breath (or coated tongue), headaches, body odor, sometimes aches/pains, etc.

You should also make sure to drink plenty of water, and get enough fiber. If you don't have regular BMs, the junk your body releases won't leave your body as readily and can be reabsorbed.

thanks. I've been monitoring my fiber and actually acting pretty regularly. I upped my water yesterday and I'm feeling better but skin is still pretty bad.

I was wondering what kind of liver cleanse you are doing. I tried to do one last year. It costs about $30. It gave me a terrible headache.

I have read about a liver/gallbladder cleanse that you take epsom salts and lemon juice. It is supposed to clean out the sludge and stones if you have any.

Getting a headache while doing a cleanse is a common side effect. If you are making a herbal tea yourself, then you can dilute it a bit. Otherwise make sure you up your water intake so that your body can get the toxins out.
