There is a product by the Genuine Health called Liv-Tone. It's a combination of milk thistle, tumeric, dandelion and artichoke. I've taken it to correct a galbladder problem, with great results.

There are also excellent liver cleansing kits available at health food stores.

I just recently started taking milk thistle because I am concerned that taking Met could cause damage to my liver. I just really don't like taking prescription medications.

I've wondered about this as well. But I've also read that you may get flu like symptoms while your lives is cleansing. Is this true?

During any intensive cleanse that involves fasting you may feel worse before you feel better. It's sometimes referred to as a cleasnsing "crisis" and it's normal. Headaches, sluggishness, even a little nausea can occur. But they should only last a day or two. If you're not doing a full-on fasting cleanse, the symptoms will be greatly reduced.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Licorice root is another liver cleanser. It also helps adrenal function and i read that it helps with facial hair and acne (i hope that true!) It shouldnt be taken if you have high BP though.
