Default liver disease

Hi, was diagnosed with pcos in August and have been reffered to see a gyne. Prior to this a have had regular 6 month appointments with a specialist who has being monitoring me because of my blood, results, first thought to be lupus. Last week i had a letter from her asking me to go and have my bloods done again as something had shown up with my liver results. It may be nothing and they may come back normal and i could be worrying about nothing.
I have just read an article in the general section about reasearch articles, one being about liver disease being connected to pcos, which has worried me. I know it may be nothing but if your like me it still plays on your mind.
Has anyone else read this, or does anyone have liver related problems? It would be great to hear from anyone.

I wish I could tell you something but I am in the exact same situation right now.

My blood tests came back strange and my liver enzymes all over the place, so I have to get more blood drawn and I am having an ultrasound of my liver next week.

My doctor said it could be a number of things, and they are hoping that it's just overworked because of the PCOS and other stuff that's been happening.

Hang in there! I am a wreck worrying about it too. The doctor told me that there is the possibility of Hepititis developing because of my PCOS as well..which of course scared me even more!

*hugs*

Default Fatty Liver

I recently had bloods come back with high liver enzymes, they took more blood and did an ultrasound diagnosing me with a "Fatty Liver". I was diagnosed with PCOS & Insulin Resistance in 2001. I have read as much as I can get my hands on relating to either or both of the conditions. I have found that a Fatty Liver is common in people who are obese, which I am, and can also be caused by obesity. PCOS, Insulin Resistance and Fatty Liver seem to go hand in hand.
I am 33 at this time and I know I will probably never conceive another child, I am very thankful for the 12 year old that I have. I will probably never loose weight but I WILL, most likely, get Type II Diabetes.
It is very hard to cope with such a bleak future. You feel like you are fighting an up hill battle with PCOS. It is hard to understand and deal with. I have been gaining weight even though I try so hard too loose it. We are not spring chickens anymore, but all that goes with PCOS, definately puts a strain on your life (and your sex life)
I know this is probably what you wanted to hear but I am only giving the info how it was relayed to me.
Good luck fellow cysters.
