Default Living with Vitiligo?

OK. Just been diagnosed this week. I thought I had skin cancer as I suddenly developed this dramatic dark brown patch on my forehead, large and odd shape... turned out it wasn't a dark patch just my normal pigment. The surrounding skin had gone white - vitiligo, my dr says.

It's 'only' on my face (TBH I wouldn't mind however bad it was if it was anywhere BUT my face!)

Anyone got any tips and advice - the practical side, like sunblocks etc - but also the emotional side of coping with what is let's be honest, a facial disfigurement? I'm in my 40s too - unusual to develop it this late - so looks shouldn't be such an issue. But this is making me feel vulnerable, given where it is.

For a Brit, I'm pretty dark skinned (gypsy blood!) so it is going to be noticeable but the worst of it is along my hairline and in the middle of my forehead. Advice, ladies?
