Loestrin worry and other stuff

hiya,

i've been on yasmin for about a year and 5 months and it's just really starting to not agree with me. in the last 5 months especially i've noticed really bad mood swings - my poor husband is getting the brunt of it.

it's also not really helping with the hair growth, though the hair on my head is pretty good now. my weight has shot up by about 30lbs in the last 17 months. i lost 20 lbs recently, only to put on half of it again in the last month.

i'm fed up. i feel crappy and i just don't want to be overweight anymore.

i went to see my new obgyn today who wants to put me on loestrin. however, i've looked at past posts about this BCP and i'm worried about it - it doesn't sound like it's a very popular one.

is there any advice anyone can give me. are there any lower dosage pills i can try?

she also wants me to see an endo who will probably prescribe me metformin.

any help and advice would be great. even though i'm an old time pcos'er, i'm feeling really confused again.

(if i was single i'd probably come off the pill and put myself on vitex and herbs again, but that isn't really a possibility now i'm married heheh.)

well, i spoke to my obgyn today and she put me on ortho tri-cyclen. hopefully that'll be better.

i've been on ortho-tri-cyclen for all of one day and i'm wondering if i'm going to get on with it. my face has been red hot since taking it. anyone else had this problem?

i guess i should stick with it for a month or so and see what happens.

would love some first hand info about this bcp though.
